About Us

Hazel Quinn, founder and lead photographer, holding her camera

Hello, we are Olivine & Oak

Photographers of quiet, joyful moments

Olivine and Oak began twelve years ago with a borrowed camera, a borrowed car, and a firm belief: a wedding photograph should feel like the day itself. Today we are a small Charleston studio led by founder and photographer Hazel Quinn, travelling wherever love stories take us.

We work gently and mostly unnoticed. No stiff poses, no shouting across the lawn — just natural light, honest composition, and an eye for the in-between seconds: your father's hand on your shoulder, the laugh that breaks through the nerves, the last light falling across the tables.

When the day is over, your photographs are edited by hand, delivered in a private online gallery, and bound — for those who wish — into heirloom albums made to be opened fifty years from now.

How we work

Calm craft, honest pictures

Documentary at heart

We photograph the day as it unfolds — real tears, real laughter — stepping in with gentle direction only when a portrait calls for it.

Natural light first

Golden fields, window light, candlelit rooms — we chase the light you fell in love with and shape it softly when the day turns dark.

Heirlooms, not files

Beyond the online gallery, we design fine-art albums and wall pieces with archival materials — photographs made to be held, not scrolled past.
